After catching a glimpse of the news, my son drove his toy plane into the kitchen cupboards. At first he didn’t know why I was so upset, but once the situation was explained to him he understood. Those horrible looped images flickering in front of us were enough to get the point across, even to a kindergartener. But it was much more of a challenge to comprehend the evil behind 9/11. Even semi-obscured, the face of Bin Laden was beautiful. Big brown eyes, and an open mirthful face belying a soul like an acid rain filled lake, pristine but lifeless.
