Bin Laden

I remember where I was when Paul Henderson scored The Goal, when John Lennon was shot, when the Challenger went down. I even vaguely remember the day JFK was assassinated. I was on the kitchen floor, playing with blocks, yet old enough to recognize distress in the tinny radio voice. The morning of September 11, I was in a boardroom in the Caribbean, about to launch into yet another sales pitch. Another road trip, another pitch. The collapse of those twin towers changed everything. When they finally caught up with Bin Laden I was asleep, safe in my own bed.

  1. I nearly wrote on Bin Laden, too. Very convenient that news fell on our 'B' day.
And today I was tempted to write on the word 'Conservative.'
    : )
But I am trying to stick to my characters Joan and Sandy this month, as a way of narrowing my focus - because as you say the alphabet leaves subject matter very wide open.

  2. I can see how that would work. It's a big scary alphabet out there!
