I remember when we thought our parents would divorce, my brother and I held pow-wows about who we'd want to live with, and we decided we'd just run away because we didn't want either of them - but if we had to pick, we'd choose Dad. now, as a single mom, I can say that it's hard to parent on your own, but it can be done well. my ex and I are friends, and I make sure my son knows his father loves him by keeping them in touch, and going to visit as often as we can (he's in another state). time will tell... : )

Sometimes when you are the odd one out you have something in common with somebody else..as your beautiful story illuminates however that sometimes means moving place..the photo is also very poignant..good to see you at SS2
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post to resurrect coupled with the matching pic. In my childhood divorce was difficult and rare and I found that other children envied me my loving parents!
